Did not know where else to post this:
Just had the privilege of spending the afternoon with Jean du Toit, the maker of Pietenpauw pipes, South Africa.
WOW, I came away not just having smoked 3 different bowls of imported leaf, but with a bowl full of Orlik Golden Sliced for tomorrow too, and with some great pieces to fix my one broken stem. But most of all I came went home with having learnt so much from an artist pipe maker.
To those of you who already own a Pietenpauw pipe, I envy you, and hope one day to own my own too, it will be a privilege.
How many Pietenpauw's are there in the NY area?
