The 2011 Northeast Regional Pipe Smoking Contest was held at the Kaywoodie factory in Peekskill, NY, on Saturday December 10th 2011. A huge thanks goes out to our gracious host Bill Feuerbach for opening up his factory for the day once again.
Another fantastic event at the Kaywoodie factory, and this year was the biggest yet!
The NYPC was well represented with 13 members enterring into the slow-smoke contest which had a total of 45 contestants. Four of our own NYPC members fared very well breaking the 30 minute mark and a special mention and Congratulations goes out to our own Avi Kotzer who clocked a fantastic time of 52:13 finishing in 3rd place overall! Congratulations to Doc Garr who oulasted everybody with a time of 1:12:24!!! Everyone went home with prizes, including lots of tins of tobacco.
