So, I have tossed around the idea of having our annual BBQ, considering the pro's and con's and Covid-19 related concerns. I've discussed with Charlie, who has advocated for it since we have been on pause, and has invited the Club, once again, to his sunny Lynbrook, L.I. backyard. I think at this point, as NYC continues to open up and get back to somewhat a sense of normalcy, you are either vaccinated by now or have decided that you do not want to be. Seeing as the BBQ is an external, out doors event, and you may take whatever precautions that you feel necessary, I think we should move forward and plan out the event. Charlie has given us two dates, both Saturdays: August 7th or August 21st. This gives us plenty of time to organize and plan a fantastic event, one that we have all been waiting for. I welcome any and all views on this so let me hear what you have to say about it. Also, as we traditionally do, what theme or incentive can we think of to spice up the event? In years past we've done corn cobs, clays, special tobacco's, what can you suggest??? Of course all are invited. Let me know what you think. Here's hoping for our NYPC Summer BBQ 2021!
