We Mourn the Passing of Long Time Member,
Arthur Goldfedder
Please join me in raising bowls in memory and honor of our dear friend and brother, Arthur (Artie), who passed away recently as reported by our dear brother, host of our Summer BBQ’s and “Keeper of the Leaf”, himself, Charlie Pilnacek. How sad, especially in light of the fact that Charlie had “found” Arthur after my many years of searching for him! It was this past February that Charlie reported meeting Arthur, per chance, while filling up at a local gas station on Long Island. At least I can report that Charlie, Arthur and a few of the Long Island Pipe Guys had the pleasure of sharing a few bowls together before Arthur’s passing.
Arthur was a long time member of the Club and a faithful "regular" of both the meetings and the NY Pipe Shows.
We will all miss him.
On behalf of the entire NY Pipe Club, I extend our deepest condolences to Arthur's family at this time of sorrow.
